How cashless works at your event
Wristbands instead of cardboard tokens
Visitors pay contactlessly with a wristband at the bar. That replaces the system everyone grew up with: a till at the front selling paper tokens, a queue in front of that till, and a shoebox full of tickets at the end of the night. With cashless the credit sits on the band, so the bar has nothing to count and nothing to give back.
Token mode or euro mode
You choose whether to work in tokens — one token is one beer, as with paper tickets — or in euros on the band. Tokens keep pricing simple for your volunteers and match what a party crowd expects. Euro mode helps when you have different prices per item, for instance at a dinner event where drinks and food mix.
Topping up before and during the event
Visitors can top their band up online, even before they arrive. That takes the peak off the token desk in the first hour, exactly when everyone comes in at once. Topping up stays possible during the event, so anyone who would rather bring cash is not shut out.
Seeing what each point of sale takes
Every transaction is tied to a band and a point of sale, so afterwards you can see what the main bar, the cocktail bar and the food stand each did. That is useful for the next edition: it tells you where you needed a second person pouring and which stand did not earn the staff it took.
Preparing bands without the manual work
You create bands in batches or import them by CSV, so a box of five hundred does not have to be registered one at a time. For the day itself that means bands ready per entrance lane, and a lost band can be blocked without the rest of your system suffering for it.
